Nothing is needed; let the timed boost finish. ### Why is my sauce boiling hard on a low setting with A showing? The automatic heating function starts at maximum heat before dropping back, so a low level can briefly run hot. Wait for the A to go out, or reset the level with a short press. ### How do I switch on automatic heating on purpose? Bertazzoni says to press the power level you want, from 1 to 8, for three seconds. The A then appears until the heat-up time ends. ### Can I use the Bertazzoni A function on an empty pan? Bertazzoni describes automatic heating as a way to bring a cold pan that is not empty up at maximum heat.
