Restart the cooktop with the POWER key. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### What is the EEPROM on my Dacor cooktop? It is a memory chip on the control board that holds settings. F1 means the control lost contact with it. ### Could a power surge cause F1? A surge or outage can disturb the control. If a reset clears F1 for good, no part is needed. ### Why does a Dacor Modernist induction cooktop stop when F1 appears? The control relies on the EEPROM for its stored settings, and F1 says it could not reach that memory.
