On the S700 induction cooktop, E2 means the induction coils have overheated. Fulgor's only remedy is to let them cool, so it is a protective stop rather than a broken part, unless it keeps happening. The zone is allowed to cool and a loose sensor plug is ruled out before the sensor, the coil assembly or the board is blamed. Switch the zone off and let the cooktop cool. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Why does my Fulgor Milano cooktop show E2 during a long boil? Long stretches at high power heat the coils, and E2 stops them until they cool. Occasional E2 is protection; frequent E2 is worth a visit. ### Can I restart a Fulgor Milano zone right after E2?
