Monogram's stainless gas cooktops have a gas lockout set from the Lock Control pad. When it engages, the LOCKED icon blinks and then stays lit; gas to the cooktop is shut off and the control is locked until you repeat the same steps. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Make sure every knob is off; Monogram only lets the lockout change with all knobs off. 02 Press and hold Lock Control for three seconds until it beeps, then release within five seconds. 03 If LOCKED will not clear, book a visit. ### Cleared? The cooktop came right without a new part. If the same message returns while a zone or burner is on, or the top shuts itself down again mid-meal, treat it as a fresh problem and book it. ### What not to do LOCKED is not a gas valve failure. Make sure every knob is off; Monogram only lets the lockout change with all knobs off. ### Why won't my Monogram gas cooktop unlock? Monogram's lockout only changes when every knob is off; turning it with a knob on produces a chime instead. Turn all knobs off, then hold Lock Control for three seconds. ### Does the Monogram lockout stop the gas or just the display? It stops gas flow to the cooktop and locks the control, according to Monogram's manual. ### Why does my Monogram ZGU36RSLSS chime instead of locking? A burner knob is probably not at Off.
