The zone is allowed to cool and a loose sensor plug is ruled out before the sensor, the coil assembly or the board is blamed. Let the zone cool, then switch it back on and continue. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Why did one Thermador zone stop with F1 while searing? Very high heat under a thin or empty pan pushes the zone past its limit. Letting it cool is enough unless the code returns during gentler cooking. ### Does F6 mean something different from F1? Thermador lists F1 and F6 together with the same meaning and the same steps. ### Does F1 on my Thermador mean the countertop around it got too hot? Thermador says the zone switched off to protect the work surface, so the code is a precaution. The countertop around the cutout is what the shut-off is guarding.
