Turn the cooktop off and let it cool for a while. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Why do only some zones stop when my Wolf cooktop shows E3? The zones are driven by separate generators, and E3 concerns generator 2 only. The zones it powers stop while the others can keep working. ### Can I keep cooking on the other zones with E3 showing? After the cooktop cools, the code often clears. If it keeps returning, stop using the affected zones and book a visit, because repeated overheating shortens the life of the generator. ### How is E3 different from E4 on a Wolf CT induction cooktop? On the CT series both codes are heat sink limits, but E3 belongs to generator 2 and E4 to generator 3.
