Three short steps, about a minute.

or call (844) 252-4077

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Café's own guidance for Lock light (gas) on its cooktops. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Set the lock knob back to its Unlocked position.

02

Relight the burner.

03

If burners still will not light with the lock released, book a visit.

Cleared?

The cooktop came right without a new part. If the same message returns while a zone or burner is on, or the top shuts itself down again mid-meal, treat it as a fresh problem and book it.

What not to do

Sparks with no flame while the lock light is on do not mean a failed igniter. The gas is off on purpose.

All problems

No repair indicated

Nothing to repair.

A state the cooktop was put in, or one it picked deliberately — a child lock, a demo mode that lights the keys but heats nothing, a residual-heat letter over a zone that is still warm, a prompt that no pan has been found. Nothing has broken and no part is called for.

In Café's own words

When locked, gas flow to the burners is prevented. Burners will spark if a knob is turned, but will not ignite.

Questions
about Lock light (gas).

Can I clear Lock light (gas) myself?
Set the lock knob back to its Unlocked position.
Why won't my Café gas cooktop light even though it clicks?
Look at the lock light. Café's manual says a locked cooktop blocks gas, so the burners spark without igniting.
Does the Café gas lock also stop the igniters?
No. The igniters still spark when a knob is turned; only the gas is blocked.
Which Café gas cooktops can show this lock light?
The built-in CGP7030, CGP7036, CGP9530 and CGP9536, on the versions fitted with a control lock knob. On those, the lit indicator confirms gas to the burners stays shut off until the knob returns to Unlocked.
