Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Fulgor Milano's own guidance for E9 on its cooktops. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Stop using the zone that shows E9.

02

Note which zone shows E9, since each coil carries its own sensor.

03

Book a visit to have the sensor replaced.

Still there?

It usually turns into induction board and coil repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

E9 is not an overheating stop like E2. Cooling the cooktop will not bring the sensor back.

What you may
notice with it.

The cooktop problems E9 tends to arrive with. Answer these at the cooktop before anyone is booked.

Questions
about E9.

Can I clear E9 myself?
Stop using the zone that shows E9. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Is E9 on a Fulgor Milano cooktop a big repair?
Fulgor's listed fix is a new temperature sensor, which is a contained part job rather than a new cooktop.
Why does E9 show on one Fulgor Milano zone only?
Each coil has its own sensor, so the code sits with the zone whose sensor failed.
Why can't the Fulgor Milano S700 simply run a zone with a failed coil sensor?
Without that sensor the cooktop cannot watch the coil's temperature, and that reading is what guards the coil against overheating. Fulgor's remedy is to exchange the sensor rather than run the zone without it.

Still showing E9?

Book with the code copied exactly, the full model number, and whether there is any smell of gas or burning — with a code in hand, that is where the diagnosis starts.
