What F5
actually means.
F5 is a communication error on the S600 radiant cooktop. Fulgor's error system watches the link between its two boards, and F5 is shown when that link fails.

What to do when F5 shows on the cooktopKind of codeBoards and communication
The touch board and the power board under the glass lost track of each other, or one failed its own start-up check. A power dip, a ribbon or harness pulled loose when the top was fitted, or moisture from a boil-over is ruled out before a board is replaced, and a cooktop that keeps heating while this code shows is switched off at the breaker.
Usually leads toTouch control repair
Glass touch keys and sliders that ignore a finger, start zones by themselves or stay locked, traced to the keys, the control board or the lock setting.
Shows up asCooktop Controls Unresponsive
Touch keys or a slider do nothing, the display lights but ignores every press, or a knob turns without starting its burner or element.

Before you book,
in this order.
Each step comes from Fulgor Milano's own guidance for F5 on its cooktops. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.
Remove and restore power at the breaker.
Do not open the cooktop to check the connection between the boards yourself.
If F5 returns, book a visit.
What not to do
F5 is not an element that has burned out; the elements are stopped because the boards lost contact. It is not a key error either, so cleaning the controls will not bring the link back.
What you may
notice with it.
The cooktop problems F5 tends to arrive with. Answer these at the cooktop before anyone is booked.
