Re-ignition is a convenience, not a safeguard

Some Fulgor Milano gas cooktops relight a blown-out flame automatically, but Fulgor states the feature is a convenience and not a safety device. On standard-ignition models a flame that goes out stays out until you light the burner again.

Bright light can upset the radiant controls

Fulgor warns that strong light shining straight onto the touch area as power returns can spoil the controls' start-up calibration and leave them unresponsive, and it has a code, FL, for that. Shading the panel and cycling the power comes before a service call.

Upper and lower case matter

The S600 radiant cooktop shows F and a second letter, and capital FC is a key error while lowercase Fc is over-temperature. Writing down exactly what you see saves a wasted trip.

The rangetop timer only beeps

Sofia induction rangetops are set with push-and-turn knobs, one per zone, and Fulgor says their timer has no effect on the heating elements. A zone still running after the timer sounds is doing what it was built to do.

Why won't my Fulgor Milano radiant cooktop respond after a power outage?
Fulgor notes that strong light shining directly on the touch area as power returns can upset the controls' start-up calibration. Shade the control area, switch the breaker off and on again, and if the controls still ignore you, book a visit.
Does my Fulgor Milano gas burner relight by itself?
Only on models with automatic re-ignition, and Fulgor says even then it is a convenience rather than a safety feature. On standard-ignition models a burner that goes out stays out; turn the knob off, and book a visit if a burner keeps going out.
Why does a zone on my Fulgor Milano induction rangetop switch off after 10 minutes?
If no suitable pan is detected, the zone shows a pot-missing symbol and switches off after 10 minutes. Place an induction-ready pan on the zone; if a proper pan is never detected, book a visit.
What does E9 mean on a Fulgor Milano induction cooktop?
