Book a visit

Three short steps, about a minute.

or call (844) 252-4077

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Monogram's own guidance for C12 on its cooktops. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Open the custom settings as the manual describes and move Control Lock from C12 to C11.

02

To unlock right now, touch Control Lock for three seconds.

03

If the cooktop still locks on its own at C11, book a visit.

Cleared?

The cooktop came right without a new part. If the same message returns while a zone or burner is on, or the top shuts itself down again mid-meal, treat it as a fresh problem and book it.

What not to do

C12 is not an error. It is a setting that locks the controls on purpose.

What you may
notice with it.

The cooktop problems C12 tends to arrive with. Answer these at the cooktop before anyone is booked.

No repair indicated

Nothing to repair.

A state the cooktop was put in, or one it picked deliberately — a child lock, a demo mode that lights the keys but heats nothing, a residual-heat letter over a zone that is still warm, a prompt that no pan has been found. Nothing has broken and no part is called for.

Questions
about C12.

Can I clear C12 myself?
Open the custom settings as the manual describes and move Control Lock from C12 to C11.
Why does my Monogram cooktop keep locking itself?
It is probably set to C12, Auto Lock, which engages after 10 minutes in standby. Switching the setting to C11 leaves locking up to you.
What is C11 on a Monogram cooktop?
The standard lock, which only turns on when you hold the lock key for three seconds.
Do Monogram radiant cooktops have the C12 Auto Lock setting too?
They do, since the ZEU36RSJSS radiant manual lists the same custom settings as the ZHU36RSJSS induction manual, so C11 and C12 work the same on both. The change is made in the custom settings menu, not with the lock key alone.

Still showing C12?

Book with the code copied exactly, the full model number, and whether there is any smell of gas or burning — with a code in hand, that is where the diagnosis starts.
