Book a visit

Three short steps, about a minute.

or call (844) 252-4077

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Gaggenau's own guidance for F4 on its cooktops. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Turn the cooktop off and let it cool; touch any control to clear the display.

02

Check that the drawer below is not packed against the fan inlet before you cook again.

03

If F4 appears during light cooking, book a visit to check the cooling fan and airflow.

Still there?

It usually turns into induction board and coil repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

F4 is not a loss of power from the house; the cooktop is choosing to hold the zones off. It also does not mean one zone failed, since every zone stops at once.

What you may
notice with it.

The cooktop problems F4 tends to arrive with. Answer these at the cooktop before anyone is booked.

Questions
about F4.

Can I clear F4 myself?
Turn the cooktop off and let it cool; touch any control to clear the display. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Is F4 on a Gaggenau a reason to stop using it?
Not after a single event. Once it cools you can cook again; repeated F4 is the sign to book a visit.
What is the difference between F2 and F4?
F2 stops one zone, F4 stops all of them. The cause Gaggenau gives is the same.
Does E8208 on a Gaggenau mean the same as F4?
Yes. The Gaggenau manual gives E8208 the same meaning as F4: the electronics overheated and all zones switched off. The cool-down step is the same for both.
