Book a visit

Three short steps, about a minute.

or call (844) 252-4077

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from SKS's own guidance for F1 / F5 / FC on its cooktops. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Switch the cooktop off at the breaker, then back on, to clear the code.

02

Do not open the cooktop or touch its wiring while the breaker is off.

03

If the same code comes back, book a visit and note which of the three it was.

Still there?

It usually turns into touch control repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

These codes are not the pan-detection or hot-surface indications, which SKS treats as normal behavior. They also do not tell you which part has failed, because SKS gives all three a single meaning.

What you may
notice with it.

The cooktop problems F1 / F5 / FC tends to arrive with. Answer these at the cooktop before anyone is booked.

Questions
about F1 / F5 / FC.

Can I clear F1 / F5 / FC myself?
Switch the cooktop off at the breaker, then back on, to clear the code. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Which is worse on an SKS cooktop, F1 or FC?
SKS gives them the same meaning and the same first step. A technician reads the code with the control's own diagnostics to tell them apart.
Can I use my SKS induction cooktop after F5 clears?
If a power reset clears it and it stays gone, yes. If it returns, stop and book a visit.
Is the SKSIT3611GE code list the same as the older SKSIT3601G for F1, F5 and FC?
For these three codes it is: both manuals carry the same F1, F5 and FC line. That line says the electronic control has detected a problem and that a power off and on should clear it.

Back to your everyday

Still showing F1 / F5 / FC?

Book with the code copied exactly, the full model number, and whether there is any smell of gas or burning — with a code in hand, that is where the diagnosis starts.
