Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Thermador's own guidance for F9 on its cooktops. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Touch any button to confirm the code and cook on the other zones.

02

Use a pan that fits a single zone until the extended Flex Zone is working again.

03

Book a visit if F9 keeps appearing, and mention the Flex Zone.

Still there?

It usually turns into induction board and coil repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

F9 does not mean the whole cooktop is down. The separate zones inside the Flex Zone can still be used on their own.

Questions
about F9.

Can I clear F9 myself?
Touch any button to confirm the code and cook on the other zones. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Can I still use my griddle pan on a Thermador that shows F9?
Not across the extended Flex Zone. The separate zones still work, so a smaller pan on one zone is the workaround.
Is F9 about my cookware?
Thermador describes it as the zone not switching on, not as a pan problem.
Why will my Thermador not join its Flex Zone and show F9 instead?
F9 is Thermador's message that the extended Flex Zone does not switch on. The other zones stay available, so cooking can continue on them. A code that returns each time you try to join the zones needs a visit.

Still showing F9?

Book with the code copied exactly, the full model number, and whether there is any smell of gas or burning — with a code in hand, that is where the diagnosis starts.
