An induction cooktop lifted out of its counter cutout and turned over on a padded workbench, its bottom cover removed to show round copper coils and the power board beside them.

Three short steps, about a minute.

or call (844) 252-4077

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Samsung's own guidance for C2 on its cooktops. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Restart the cooktop, then cut power for at least 30 seconds if C2 remains.

02

If C2 comes back once the power is restored, switch the breaker off again and leave the cooktop unused until the visit.

03

Book a visit if it keeps returning.

What not to do

C2 is not about the glass or the pan; it is inside the power electronics. It is also different from C0, which concerns the top sensor under the glass.

What you may
notice with it.

The cooktop problems C2 tends to arrive with. Answer these at the cooktop before anyone is booked.

Questions
about C2.

Can I clear C2 myself?
Restart the cooktop, then cut power for at least 30 seconds if C2 remains. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
What is the IGBT on a Samsung induction cooktop?
It is the power switch that drives the coil. C2 means the sensor watching its temperature reads wrong.
Will C2 go away if I change pans?
No. It does not involve the cookware.
Why does Samsung list C2 as both an open and a shorted IGBT sensor?
The information code table gives two lines for C2: the IGBT sensor reads open, or it has a short, while a zone is operating. Both mean the cooktop cannot trust the temperature of its power transistors. A technician tests the sensor and its wiring to tell the two apart.
