Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Dacor's own guidance for UP on its cooktops. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Switch the cooktop off at the breaker.

02

Have the circuit and the connection checked, and turn the cooktop on only once the voltage is right.

03

Book a visit if UP remains on a confirmed supply.

Still there?

It usually turns into touch control repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

UP is not an internal failure of the cooktop in most cases. It reports the power reaching it.

What you may
notice with it.

The cooktop problems UP tends to arrive with. Answer these at the cooktop before anyone is booked.

Questions
about UP.

Can I clear UP myself?
Switch the cooktop off at the breaker. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
What voltage does a Dacor induction cooktop need?
Dacor gives a range of 208 to 240 volts. UP means the supply is outside it.
Can a loose wire cause UP on my Dacor cooktop?
A poor connection can make the voltage sag under load. Have the connection and circuit checked before using the cooktop again.
Why does UP on a Dacor Modernist induction cooktop call for a check of the circuit?
UP says the input voltage is outside the 208 to 240 volt window the cooktop is designed for. That is measured at the circuit and the connection, so the supply is checked before any part inside the cooktop.
