LOCK on a Whirlpool electric or induction cooktop means Control Lock is set. Whirlpool explains two versions: set while the cooktop is off, it blocks the cooking areas entirely; set while it is on, every key except Power and Off stops responding.

If the keys still do not respond, reset the breaker for one minute.

Gas cooktop
