Book a visit

Three short steps, about a minute.

or call (844) 252-4077

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from ZLINE's own guidance for F3 on its cooktops. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Try one breaker reset.

02

Cook on another zone only if it shows no code, and keep the F3 zone switched off.

03

If F3 stays, stop using that zone and book a visit.

Still there?

It usually turns into induction board and coil repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

F3 is not the same as the cooktop running hot. It reports the sensor itself, not the temperature it measures.

What you may
notice with it.

The cooktop problems F3 tends to arrive with. Answer these at the cooktop before anyone is booked.

Questions
about F3.

Can I clear F3 myself?
Try one breaker reset. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Can I keep cooking on the other ZLINE zones when one shows F3?
The code belongs to the zone where it appears. Leave that zone alone and book a visit for the sensor.
Will F3 clear if I let the ZLINE cooktop cool down?
Cooling is the remedy for the E1 and E2 heat codes, not F3. A sensor that has failed needs replacing.
Where is the sensor that F3 reports on a ZLINE FCIND cooktop?
F3 names the coil temperature sensor, which sits with the coil of the zone showing the code. It is separate from the board sensor behind F4, so the technician needs to know it was F3.

Back to your everyday

Still showing F3?

Book with the code copied exactly, the full model number, and whether there is any smell of gas or burning — with a code in hand, that is where the diagnosis starts.
