Book a visit

Three short steps, about a minute.

or call (844) 252-4077

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from ZLINE's own guidance for F1 on its cooktops. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Switch the cooktop's breaker off, wait a minute and switch it back on.

02

If F1 comes back, book a visit and note which zone shows it.

03

Leave the zone showing F1 unused until it has been checked.

Still there?

It usually turns into touch control repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

F1 is not a pan or overheating message, so letting the cooktop cool or changing pans will not clear it. It also does not mean the cooktop has lost power entirely, because the display board is still running and reporting the lost contact.

What you may
notice with it.

The cooktop problems F1 tends to arrive with. Answer these at the cooktop before anyone is booked.

Questions
about F1.

Can I clear F1 myself?
Switch the cooktop's breaker off, wait a minute and switch it back on. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Why does F1 show on only one side of my ZLINE cooktop?
The code is tied to the main board serving the zone where it appears, so one side can go quiet while the other keeps working. Book a visit if a breaker reset does not clear it.
Can a power outage cause F1 on a ZLINE induction cooktop?
A reset is ZLINE's own first step, so try the breaker once. A code that returns after that is a wiring or board problem.
Which boards does F1 involve on a ZLINE FCIND-36?
ZLINE names the display board and the left main control board for the affected zone. A technician checks the link between those two before replacing either one.

Still showing F1?

Book with the code copied exactly, the full model number, and whether there is any smell of gas or burning — with a code in hand, that is where the diagnosis starts.
